Abstract
Crises in the rf-driven resistively-shunted-junction model of a Josephson junction are studied with an analog simulator. The features of crises are discussed via a return map and spectral diagram. Two types of boundary crises in a strange attractor following the Feigenbaum route are found. The crucial difference between the hopping processes induced by crises and Pomeau-Manneville intermittency is also indicated.
