Abstract

We point out that an important factor determining the magnitude of the superconducting transition temperature Tc in the fullerides is the extent to which the Cooper pairs is delocalized over the three bands at the Fermi energy. This point is exemplified by using a simplified BCS-model Hamiltonian to calculate Tc in terms of the intraband pairing and interband pair hopping coupling constants.
