Abstract

We present a perturbation treatment for the fluxon, or circularly-symmetric-soliton, propagation in a circularly symmetric annular Josephson junction with bias and dissipation. The first zero-field step in the I-V characteristic has been obtained, which is in excellent agreement with a directly numerical simulation. A simple discussion of our results is also given in this paper.
