Abstract
High-resolution measurements of the reversible magnetization of YBa2Cu3O7−δ single crystals which were grown in gold crucibles and zirconia crucibles reveal that, within the experimental accuracy, gold impurities do not influence the normal-state susceptibility, the upper critical field, nor the superconducting fluctuation phenomena.
