Abstract

We simplify the Pennington-Slichter expression for the transverse NMR relaxation rate (T2G−1) in the cuprate superconductors, and use our result to calculate spin-fluctuation parameters in the normal state and T2G for the superconducting state of YBa2Cu3O7.
