Abstract

The pinning effect of vortex lines by the layered structure (intrinsic pinning) on the resistivity of high-Tc superconductors in the mixed state is investigated by means of perturbation theory. A sharp drop in the resistivity at small angles for which vortex lines are almost aligned with the ab planes is shown to occur even in a high-temperature region where the pinning potential is reduced by thermal fluctuations.
