Abstract
Vortex-pair production is calculated in superconducting films below the Berezinsky-Kosterlitz-Thouless transition as a function of temperature, magnetic field, and current. Our calculations are accurate not only exponentially, but also for the prefactors. We obtain an explicit formula for the film resistivity depending on these three variables.
