Abstract
The concentration wave approach is applied to study the ordered distribution of substitutional cations in high-Tc superconducting systems. The superstructures corresponding to the dominant concentration waves have been determined. As an example of the procedure, the ordered distributions of CO3 groups in carbonate superconductors are investigated. The superstructures observed experimentally in various kinds of high-Tc superconducting systems are tabulated for comparison. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
