Abstract

At the low-temperature limit, extremely high values of the coefficient ηeff of the damping force ηeff vφ acting during vortex motion have been reported in the electron-doped superconductor Nd1.85Ce0.15CuOx (vφ=vortex velocity). Based on the two-band model of the electronic structure of Nd1.85Ce0.15CuOx we show that the high values of ηeff are consistent with relatively small values of the overall Hall angle.
