Abstract
The zero-field singularities that account for the oscillatory motion of bound fluxon-antifluxon pairs in stacks of two long Josephson junctions are investigated in detail. Experimental results concerning the I−V characteristics and the stability of the bound state are compared with existing theoretical models and with numerical results of a recent, more realistic, model. The microwave emission from the state is also described and discussed.
