Abstract

The structure of a single flux line in (d+s)-wave superconductors has been analyzed within the Ginzburg-Landau (GL) model generalized for two order-parameter components. It is shown that in a certain range of the GL parameters the fourfold symmetric singular vortex solution is unstable against the relative shift of the s- and d-wave unit vortices in the core. The gap in the resulting nonsingular vortex solution (with the broken fourfold symmetry) is nonzero everywhere in the core. The structure of nonsingular vortices is studied both analytically and numerically.
