Abstract
We show that the customary Hamiltonian HJJ describing a Josephson junction has a co-commutative quantum dynamical algebra hw(1). This allows us to write naturally the Hamiltonian of many junctions in parallel by resorting to the associated coalgebra; more precisely to the coproduct Δ(HJJ). The deformation parameter w measures the ratio between Coulomb and Josephson energies in the junction.
