Abstract

We study the influence of the proximity effect on several superconductor/ferromagnet S/F layered structures. In the case of F/S/F sandwiches, we calculate the dependence of the superconducting critical temperature as a function of the mutual orientation of ferromagnetic exchange fields of the outer layers. In the case of atomic-scale S/F superlattices, we analyze the properties of the superconducting phase for parallel or antiparallel orientation of magnetic moments of ferromagnetic layers. In both cases the superconducting π-phase appears.
