Abstract
I analyzed some of the available experimental data on the chemical potential within the rotating antiferromagnetic theory (RAFT) of high-temperature superconductors. I found that in order to interpret electron-photoemission data the doping dependence of the bare chemical potential μ has to be considered, but in order to interpret the work function data for the temperature dependence an effective chemical potential μef that takes into account the effect of Coulomb repulsion has to be considered. A discussion of this finding within, and a comparison of RAFT to Anderson’s spin-charge separation theory is made.
