Abstract

Noncentrosymmetric superconductors provide a unique platform to explore the interplay of antisymmetric spin-orbit coupling and pairing symmetry. In this study, we report the synthesis and comprehensive characterization of the noncentrosymmetric ternary α-Mn compound NbTaOs2 using electrical resistivity, magnetization, specific heat, and muon spin rotation/relaxation (μSR). It confirms that NbTaOs2 is a type-II bulk superconductor. Transverse-field μSR and specific-heat data consistently indicate a moderately coupled, fully gapped superconducting state.
