Abstract

We report superconducting properties of noncentrosymmetric superconductor LaPtGe which crystallizes in noncentrosymmetric $ α$-ThSi$ _{2} $ structure. The magnetization, resistivity and specific heat measurements confirm that LaPtGe is a type-II bulk superconductor with a transition temperature T$ _{c} $ = 3.05 $ \pm $ 0.05 K. Muon-spin relaxation/rotation measurements confirms that time reversal preserved in the superconducting ground state.
