Abstract
A new method is developed to calculate the functional derivative of the real-axis gap function Δ(ω) and its derivatives with frequency ω. It is tested against previous results for the functional derivative of the gap edge and applied to a calculation of the functional derivative with electron phonon [δJR/δα2F(Ω)] and paramagnon [δJR/δP(Ω)] spectral densities of the normalized quasiparticle current jump (JR) at the gap edge in a tunneling junction.
