Abstract
We study flux quantization in periodic arrays with two elementary cells having an irrational ratio of areas. In particular, we calculate the superconducting-normal phase boundary Tc(H) and we analyze the origin of its overall and fine structure as a function of the network size. We discuss our theoretical results, exploiting the electronic tight-binding analogy to the Ginzburg-Landau equations, and compare them with the experimental ones.
