Abstract
A new technique for observing the Meissner effect on microscopic powdered samples of superconducting material was used for samples of Y-Ba-Cu-O. Using this technique, we have isolated particles of superconducting material which show Meissner effect up to 300 K. These are now being analyzed for their composition and phase. The analysis of these particles showing Meissner effect at higher temperatures could be useful in the synthesis of bulk higher-temperature superconductor material.
