Abstract
Trapped molecular oxygen was observed from Y-Ba-Cu-O and Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O superconductors by laser desorption mass spectroscopy. We speculate that trapped O2 may play an important role in superconductivity for the newly discovered high-Tc metal oxide superconductors.
