Abstract

The effect of fractons on strongly coupled superconductors has been studied using both McMillan’s equation and Kresin’s equation which is valid for any arbitrary value of λ. Contrary to common belief it is found that there is no significant increase in Tc when the crystal lattice is changed into a fractal lattice. However, under certain conditions there may be a substantial increase in the critical temperature in the fractal superconductor over its value in the corresponding crystalline superconductor.
