Abstract
Based on the linear elasticity theory of a flux-line lattice and a simplified model for the influence of weak pinning, an estimate is given for the transition temperature to the superconducting vortex-glass state proposed by Fisher. The relation to the Lindemann criterion for thermal flux-line melting is discussed.
