Abstract
We present a quantitative analysis of the ac electromagnetic properties of two-dimensional superconductors with an anisotropic energy gap and short coherence length. The mean-free path l, frequency f, and temperature T dependencies of surface impedance and complex conductivity have been discussed for the microwave and optical regions. The effect of the gap anisotropy has a strong influence on the calculated parameters. Some results seem to agree with puzzling experimental data on high-Tc materials, thus offering a possibility of an alternative interpretation.
