Abstract

The inversion method is based on an inverted relation between the external probe and some order parameter. When the lowest-order relation of the inverted series is applied to the equilibrium BCS theory of superconductivity, our results reproduce the mean-field gap equation. An explicit form of the free energy and a generalized instability equation at finite, nonzero temperature are also obtained.
