Abstract
We derive an explicit equation for the time dependence of the current density in dirty type-II supeconductors, based on scaling ideas for flux motion developed by Tang [Physica A 194, 315 (1993)]. We explore some consequences of this model, focusing mostly on the short-time decay of the Bean state, where the total potential felt by flux lines is small.
