Abstract
In Josephson-junction stacks consisting of two junctions having identical maximum Josephson supercurrent Ic, the measured Ic vs external magnetic flux Φ characteristics exhibit two distinct oscillation periods with the oscillation period for Φ>Φ0 being smaller than that when Φ<Φ0, where Φ0 is the flux quantum. The observations provide clear evidence that a structural phase transformation to a triangular vortex lattice occurs with increasing Φ.
