Abstract
The critical behavior of the self-charging model of a chain of Josephson junctions is studied by the coupled-cluster expansion method. It is shown that the system displays a Kosterlitz-Thouless transition, and the critical point as well as the critical parameters are determined. The results agree reasonably well with those obtained by other methods.
