Abstract
The trapped field profile in a 25×25 square-columnar Josephson-junction array with a normalized junction critical current imax is calculated. It is found that if imax of four junctions linking the grain at position (13,7) is replaced by imax*=imax/10, Josephson vortices with Φ0/2 flux can appear. This fact implies a unique character of Josephson vortices compared with Abrikosov vortices in type-II superconductor.
