Abstract
Anomalous corrections to the resistance have been found in mesoscopic normal-metal–superconductor (NS) structures below TC . They differ from those described by the classical ``proximity'' theory in sensitivity to magnetic field, temperature, and rf irradiation. Contrary to the case of the classical proximity effect the anomalous corrections can be both positive and negative. A possible model which describes the anomalous corrections reported here is discussed.
